The Proposal

Natalie & Brian planned a cruise on Royal Caribbean to Aruba and Curaçao together in March 2023. Brian originally planned a romantic proposal in Arikok National Park in Aruba over the natural bridge but unfortunately the proposal was postponed due to Natalie’s mother convincing Brian that Natalie was too red and sweaty for the pictures. Brian had come up with another idea to propose during the battle of the sexes game show. He had something planned out with the host but once again his plans were ruined, Natalie decided she didn’t want to watch the show because there were not enough available seats. With only a couple more days left on the cruise he came up with one final plan to propose. We decided to take a family photo shoot; the photographer took us up to a private deck on the ship. We took a family portrait first and took pictures alone afterwards. The photographer made Brian go first. When it was Natalie’s turn she had her look out towards the ocean; that was Brian’s cue to run up behind and get on one knee. Natalie turned back around when cued by the photographer, and that’s when Brian popped the question; over looking the beautiful deep blue ocean. Natalie was confused and in shock as she was not expecting a proposal so soon. As she came to realization of what was happening she gave Brian a hug with excitement, a big smile and said yes! They celebrated with their family and friends that night with a champagne toast and dinner.
